Any Joy is the fourth EP from alt. folk artist Adam Scott Glasspool. It will be released digitally on March 24th. It is the anticipated follow up to the internationally acclaimed The Atlantic, and is available to pre-order now through Adam’s BandCamp page. It includes the new songs ‘This Can Be’, ‘Arkansas’, and ‘Where Am I Unknown’, as well as ‘In the Shade of the Trees’, which Adam has been performing live for over a year. It appears here in a new, updated form.
Any Joy finds Adam in a sombre, minimalist mood. Gone are the intertwining, intricate acoustic guitars of his formative EP’s, replaced here with cold ambient synths and emotive swells of slow electric guitar. The vocals too, linger and fade, difficult to fully grasp on to, shrouded in rich but robotic harmonies. Adam’s fourth EP may be a difficult transition for his long time fans, but it is a rewarding listen, with the EP revealing itself to be plaintive, beautiful and captivating.
On March 24th Any Joy will be available to download from iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, and all good music retailers, as well as being available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and most other streaming services.
